The private conversation link
Every submission gets a private, bookmarkable conversation link — no account or login needed to keep the conversation going.
Every submission creates a private conversation link — a unique URL that lets the feedback giver read your replies and write back, without ever revealing who they are. It's how JellyForm makes two-way conversations possible with zero accounts.
How the link is created
Right after someone submits feedback, the success screen shows their conversation link with a copy button, under the heading "Save this link to continue the conversation." Only the person who submitted sees this link. It isn't emailed to them automatically, and it never appears in the box owner's view as anything they could use to identify the sender.
What the conversation page does
- No login needed. Opening the link shows the full conversation — no account, password, or email required.
- Bookmarkable. The feedback giver can save the link and return anytime, from any device.
- Live updates. While the page is open, it automatically checks for new replies every few seconds, so a reply from your team appears without refreshing.
- Two-way. As long as the conversation is open, the feedback giver can keep writing back. If your team closes it, the page says so and the reply box is disabled.
What if someone loses the link?
There's no way to look a conversation link up later — that's a feature, not a gap. Since nothing connects a person to their submission, JellyForm has no way to know which conversation is theirs. Two safety nets exist:
- If they subscribed to email notifications, every reply notification includes a button back to the conversation.
- Otherwise, they can simply submit again and mention it's a follow-up.
It's worth telling your team up front: bookmark the link the moment you see it.
