Password-protect your box

Require a password before anyone can open your feedback box. Available on all plans.

Password protection puts a lock screen in front of your feedback box: anyone who opens the link must enter a shared password before they can see the form. It's useful when your box link might travel beyond its intended audience — a QR code in a semi-public space, a link forwarded outside the team — and you want only your group submitting.

Turn on password protection

  1. Open your box and click the Settings tab.
  2. In the Security section, switch on Password Protection.
  3. Enter a password in the Password field that appears.
  4. Click Save Changes.

Password protection is available on all plans.

What respondents see

When someone opens your box link, they'll see a password prompt before the form loads. Once they enter the correct password, they can submit feedback as usual — the experience is otherwise identical, and submissions stay just as anonymous. Share the password the same way you share the box link: in your announcement message, on the flyer, or wherever your group will see it.

Changing or removing the password

To change the password, enter a new one in the same field and save. To remove protection entirely, switch Password Protection off and save — the box opens directly again.

One shared password covers everyone; there are no per-person passwords, so entering it never identifies who submitted. See How anonymity works.
