What feedback givers see when they submit

A walkthrough of your box from the feedback giver's side — the form, the success screen, and their private conversation link.

Knowing exactly what feedback givers experience helps you share your box with confidence — and answer questions from your team about how anonymous it really is. Here's the full journey from their side.

Opening your link

Your box lives at a public link like jellyform.com/b/your-box. No account, login, name, or email is required to use it. While the page loads, visitors briefly see "Creating an anonymous session," and the form itself carries an "Anonymous session enabled" badge at the top.

The page shows your company logo and accent color if you've set them up, followed by your box header title and subtitle. See Customize your form (Build tab) for those settings.

Filling out the form

The form contains whatever you've configured:

  • Subject — always marked optional (if you show it).
  • Message — the required free-text field (if you show it; on questions-only forms, at least one answer is required instead).
  • Any custom fields you've added, with required ones marked.
  • An Attach files button, if attachments are enabled.

The submit button is labeled Submit Anonymously, and a "How do I know this is anonymous?" link below it opens a plain-language explainer covering what JellyForm doesn't collect. For the details, see How anonymity works.

After they submit

The success screen shows your confirmation heading (default: "Submitted anonymously") and thank-you message, followed by:

  • A private conversation link — under "Save this link to continue the conversation," with a Copy button. This bookmarkable link is how the respondent returns to read your replies and respond, still without any account. See The private conversation link.
  • Optional email notifications — respondents can enter an email under "Get notified when you get a reply." That email is encrypted and hidden from the box owner; only the system can decrypt it to send reply notifications. See Optional email notifications for respondents.
  • A suggestion board card — "Vote on existing suggestions," if you've turned on the board link in Post-Submission settings.
  • Submit another response — a quiet link to start a fresh submission.

Each submission lands in your Inbox as a new conversation, ready for a reply.
