What box owners can and can't see

Trust works both ways: feedback givers need to know they're safe, and box owners need to know exactly what they're getting. This article lists what you see on each submission — and what stays hidden by design.

What you can see

• The content. The subject (if the person wrote one), the message, answers to any custom fields, and any attached files.
• When it arrived. Submissions show when they were received, and your Inbox can sort and filter by date.
• AI analysis. On plans with AI features, each conversation can show a sentiment label (positive, negative, or neutral) and a topic category. See AI sentiment & categorization.
• The conversation. Every message the feedback giver sends in the two-way thread, always labeled as anonymous.
• Team activity. Assignments, internal notes, and replies from your teammates.

What you can't see

• Who sent it. No name, no account — the sender always appears as anonymous.
• Their email address. If the feedback giver opted into reply notifications, their email is encrypted and hidden from the box owner; only the system can decrypt it to send reply notifications.
• Network or device details. JellyForm doesn't store IP addresses, location, device, or browser information for anonymous submissions, so there's nothing of that kind to show you.

Why this matters for your team

Because the platform can't reveal identities, you can honestly tell your team that feedback is anonymous — the promise isn't a policy, it's how the product works. That's what makes people comfortable enough to say what they actually think.
